Personnel Accountability
Following are screen shots from the system so that you can see in a detailed fashion what the interfaces will look like. These shots have been organized in order of their appearance in the demonstration.

Incident Setup
Enter Basic information about the incident en-route or once at the scene. Here you will identify the type of incident, number of structures, owner information and any other notes appropriate to the incident.
Check-In / Radio Assignment
As personnel arrive on scene, they must be checked in for two
reasons: (1) so that the system accounts for all individuals at the
site and account for them at any given time and, (2) so that each
member's radio assignment is recorded. This is critical in the case
of a mayday alert.
Handheld Options Screen
The safety officer at any location will start by identifying the
location for which they are accounting. The location identified on
this screen will take them to the appropriate collection
screen.
Handheld Structure Scans
As personnel enter a structure, the safety officer will select from
several dropdown boxes to easily identify the location to which
they were assigned and then simply scan their helmet or oxygen
tank. This process is repeated as they leave the structure.
System Console-General Scans
The system console displays the most recent status for any
personnel that have checked into the system. Color codes will
identify an individual that has called in a mayday and any
personnel dispatched for search and rescue. Also, the minutes
elapsed for any individual in any location will always be shown.
From this console, all data entry can be performed. Following is
the procedure when a mayday is called.
Mayday Alert
When a mayday is called, the incident commander will hit the MAYDAY
button from the console, displaying this screen. The individual
will be identified by their radio ID (which was entered at
check-in) and their information displayed to the screen. A running
clock will display the time elapsed since the call was placed. At
this point, search and rescue personnel will be scanned to that
location and their scans now identified as 'responding to a mayday
call' (see figure 4). The console will show the downed man in red
and all responding personnel in yellow. As they exit the structure,
their status will change back to OUT and their color code returned
to normal.
Personnel Information
A complete record of a member's demographic and medical information
is to be maintained for all members of your station. This
information may be used at the REHAB station or in the event that
the member must be dispatched to a hospital. In addition, emergency
contact information is recorded.
Evidence Information
The system will allow for the entry of evidence. You can also
associate digital photo images to the incident in the event that
there is suspicion of arson.
Handheld Collection Screens
As indicated, the system will allow for the accounting of
individuals at any location at the scene. Following are screen
shots from the handheld unit for each location.
SCBA
Used at the point of air tank replacement, this module identifies
the member, their old tank ID and the new unit being placed on
them. The system will alert the officer when an individual has used
more than two tanks.
REHAB
Basic vital information will be recorded for any individual that
checks in to the REHAB station. Recall that medical history is
maintained in the personnel section of the system for more detailed
information.
DECON
Should the incident involve a decontamination station, members are
to be scanned as they move through this process. Entry into DECON
will basically decommission them from active participation in the
incident.
