
Inventory Module
System Information
The Inventory module allows your organization to do the following:
- enter & edit inventory information
- maintain period evaluation information about equipment
- record transfer of equipment from location to location
- record period counts
- record daily usage
- generate barcode labels for items
- maintain vendor information (including grant information for procurement
- turn usage information into an invoice (e.g. for ambulance transport usage)
- report inventory by location
Using the handheld unit, users can easily point to the correct capture screen and scan the item barcode. Dropdown menus make standard operations even easier. For example, to
transfer an item from one location to another, they will begin by selecting an original location (e.g. warehouse), scan the item and select the destination location from a dropdown box. The handheld is now ready for another scan! When the handheld data is transferred back to the main database, all item counts and location information are automatically updated.
