In recent days, the concern over childrens' safety in school has reached an all-time high. Events including Columbine High School and, most recently, the World Trade Center disasters have brought to light the need to accurately account for student and/or personnel that might be in a building. Conversely, in a emergency requiring a lock down, the need to account for your student body is even more critical!

To this end, CIM is proud to announce the release of the Evacuation Monitor... a software package designed to help you identify people that are out or, more importantly, still in a building!

Sample ID Card Sample PocketPC

Working directly with the other schoolSuite educational applications, the Evacuation Monitor allows you to track attendance as people exit the facility identifying all students and faculty that are Accounted for, Absent or Missing. If you are currently using an attendance system, this information can be imported directly into the system. Users of CIM's Attendance Tracking System will automatically have this information, including suspensions and extended leave.

Using a laptop containing the student database, simply scan student ID cards as they move to a safe area, marking them as Accounted. In the event of a lock down, teachers can confirm students' whereabouts manually. Moreover, a 'panic button' is located on each teacher's desktop, allowing them to inconspicuously alert the front office in the case of an emergency in the classroom.

If your evacuation calls for the transfer of students to remote locations, you can track where these students went based on a unique scanner code.
